It’s easy to feel grateful once everything has fallen into place.

Even the messy, uncertain, in-between moments.


Because here’s something I deeply believe — and gently challenge people with:

We often say “everything is a lesson or a blessing”.


But in reality… it’s both.


The uncomfortable moments? They shape you. The rejections? They redirect you. The endings? They create space.


When you begin to see your life through this lens, gratitude stops being selective. It becomes expansive.


Why Embodiment Matters

You can say “I’m grateful” a hundred times a day…But if your body feels tense, guarded, or disconnected, the message doesn’t fully land.


Embodiment is about allowing gratitude to move from your mind into your body.

It might feel like:

  • Warmth in your chest

  • A softening in your shoulders

  • A deeper, slower breath

  • A quiet sense of “this is enough, for now”


This is the frequency manifestation responds to — not forced positivity, but genuine openness.


Stacking Happiness: A Simple but Powerful Practice

One of the most beautiful ways to build this state is through what I like to call stacking happiness.


Each day, write down three things you’re grateful for.


They don’t need to be big or life-changing. In fact, the smaller, the better:

  • A moment of sunlight on your face

  • A kind word or unexpected message

  • A cup of tea that landed just right

  • A deep breath you didn’t rush


These are your glimmers — small, steady reminders that life is supporting you in quiet ways.

Then, at the end of each week:

Go back. Read through everything you’ve written.


And instead of rushing on… pause.


Sit with it.


Let it land in your body:

  • Close your eyes

  • Place a hand on your heart

  • Breathe slowly

  • Let yourself feel the gratitude, rather than just observe it


This is where the shift happens. This is where gratitude becomes embodied.


Bringing Gratitude Into the Body

If you struggle to feel gratitude, rather than just think it, try this:

  • Anchor it physically: Hand on heart, or both hands over your chest

  • Breathe into the feeling: Slow, steady breaths — in through the nose, out through the mouth or nose

  • Name it softly: “Thank you for this moment”

  • Let it expand: Imagine the feeling growing through your chest, your body, your field


Over time, your body begins to recognise this as a safe and familiar state.

Research in positive psychology suggests that emotions like gratitude activate neural pathways associated with wellbeing, safety, and connection. When you’re fully immersed in gratitude, your brain shifts away from stress responses — meaning fear, anxiety, and overwhelm naturally soften.


It’s not that you can never feel anything else…But in those moments of genuine gratitude, other emotional states tend to quieten or dissolve.
