Shadow & Sage Has Found a New Home: Things to do in Botley

There are moments in life when a business quietly evolves into something much bigger than it was ever intended to be. For me, this is one of those moments.

I'm so excited to share that Shadow & Sage has officially moved into Aura of Angels at Botley Mills, where every herbal tea, ritual oil, botanical blend and spiritual creation is now lovingly handcrafted from our new home in the heart of Hampshire.

Alongside my growing collection of handcrafted products, this beautiful space has also become somewhere to connect, learn, heal and grow. It's no longer simply where I make products—it's where I can finally bring together everything I have spent years studying and practising.

Reintroducing Me! – Herbalist & Ritual Specialist

For those who are new here, Hello! I'm Serena, founder of Shadow & Sage. Over the past seven years I've dedicated my life to studying herbalism, aromatherapy, nervous system regulation and ritual practices. Alongside creating herbal remedies and spiritual products, I now work as a Ritual Specialist, combining traditional wisdom with evidence-informed wellbeing practices.

My work brings together:

A New Home Inside Aura of Angels Botley Mills

Being invited into this beautiful space by Sarah Allen at Aura of Angels has opened so many exciting possibilities. (and if you intend to visit, scroll down for a few things to do in Botley!)

Sarahs shop is now stocked with a wide selection of the Shadow & Sage collections, meaning you can browse many of our handcrafted herbal teas, ritual oils, spiritual waters and botanical creations in person.

If something isn't currently on the shelves, I can usually make it to order, so you're never far away from your favourite blends. Being based inside Aura of Angels also means we're able to offer something I've wanted to create for a long time—a welcoming wellbeing space where people can experience healing, learning and community under one roof.

Aura of Angels with Sarah Allen isn't just an Apothecary - its a space for 1:1 sessions, workshops, retreats and somewhere to come if you need a chat!

Sarah offers a number of sessions from Mediumship, Reiki, Rahanni, Cord Cutting & other healing modalities. Dependant on your needs, you can utilise both our skills by having Breathwork, somatic therapy, Shadow Work Coaching, EFT or Journeying as part of your session! More Than a Shop

While I'll always love creating products, you'll probably notice that Shadow & Sage is growing into something much bigger.

Alongside the online apothecary & products in Aura of Angels, I'm now offering one-to-one sessions online and in person designed to support emotional wellbeing, nervous system regulation and personal growth.

Monthly Shamanic Journeying Circles in Botley Mills

One of the things I'm most excited to introduce is our monthly Shamanic Journeying Circle.

Each gathering begins with intention setting and guidance before participants are led into a guided drum journey. While everyone journeys, Sarah Allen offers gentle healing, creating a beautifully supportive environment for exploration and restoration.

Whether you're completely new to journeying or have travelled these inner landscapes before, the circles are welcoming, relaxed and deeply meaningful.

Workshops Throughout the Year

Most months you'll also find us hosting hands-on workshops covering everything from herbal remedies and tea blending to ritual oils, seasonal celebrations, mediumship, meditation, breathwork, nervous system regulation and personal development.

These workshops are designed to be practical, inspiring and accessible, giving you skills you can genuinely take home and use in everyday life.

They're also a wonderful opportunity to slow down, meet like-minded people and spend a few hours doing something completely different.

Make a Day of Your Visit: Things to do in Botley

One of the unexpected joys of being in Botley Mills has been discovering just how much there is to enjoy nearby.

Botley itself is one of Hampshire's hidden gems. After visiting us, why not enjoy lunch or dinner at one of the fantastic local restaurants, including The Mill or 1086 Wine Bar? If you're looking for somewhere friendly and quirky for a drink there is also Cracklerock Brewery just a short walk away from Botley Mill.

If you're after coffee and homemade cake, you'll also find Mrs Potts by the River, Emmas lovely cafe is right next to the river where you can sit outside with an iced coffee and watch the water drift by.

If you're looking to explore a little further, the surrounding countryside offers beautiful walks through Curdridge and nearby nature trails, with local farm shops just a short drive away for fresh produce and artisan treats. We're also only a short drive from Manor Farm Country Park! It's the perfect place to slow down, reconnect with nature and enjoy a slower pace of life.
